  5. The AppleCD SC Plus CD read-only memory disc can hold approximately 650 mega-
  6. bytes of information.  The AppleCD SC Plus provides access to text, graphics
  7. and sound that has been stored on digitally recorded CD-ROM discs.  Speed has
  8. been improved by approximately 20% over previous models.  Data from these
  9. compact discs can be copied and pasted for use in other applications.  This
  10. drive supports the Apple II, Macintosh, and industry standard High Sierra and
  11. ISO 9660 file systems.

  13. This unit has a 64K RAM buffer and a front-loading CD-ROM slot.  Its CD caddy
  14. provides better dust protection, guarding the integrity of the recorded infor-
  15. mation and provides a convenient way to store discs.

  17. A CD audio chip set and the drive's CD remote desk accessory provide for lis-
  18. tening to audio information stored on disc.  The unit includes two RCA jacks
  19. for connection to external amplified speakers as well as a headphone jack to
  20. accommodate listening to stereophonic audio information.  Discs can be played
  21. using either the Apple II or Macintosh, providing the information has been
  22. pressed in an industry standard file format.

  24. System Requirements:
  25. This drive has a universal power supply to ensure compatibility with worldwide
  26. electrical standards.  Only SCSI cabling is required to use the unit, however,
  27. an Apple II SCSI interface card is needed to connect the Apple CD SC Plus to an
  28. Apple IIe or Apple IIGS computer.
